The following are answers to some of the questions most frequently asked by Land Pride customers.

Snow Blowers

Why does my snow blower keep working even after I shear my shear bolt?
Answer

You need to grease your imput shaft.  If this shaft is not greased well it can cease up and keep spinning, doing harm to the gearbox, chain and impeller.

My snow blower makes intermittent clicking noise what is causing that noise?
Answer

You could have something caught in your chain.  Inspect the chain to make sure nothing is caught in it.

My impeller keeps plugging up. What is causing this?
Answer

Your ground speed may be too fast.  The snow blower cannot take in that much snow, you need to slow you ground speed down.

How much adjustment is in the hitch?

Why does my mower clump the grass out the discharge chute?
Answer

The grass may be too wet.  Also you may want to clean your deck out.  Grass can collect under the deck not allowing the grass to discharge right.

My deck is hard for me to lift. Can I make it easier?
Answer

Yes, you can adjust your deck lift assist springs to make it easier to lift and lower the deck.

Can you put an acre meter on the primary seeder?
Answer

Yes you can put an acre meter on the seeder as an option.

Can I run the seeder either direction?
Answer

Yes we have a bi-directional seed cups on the unit. Meaning you can go forward or backwards.

Skid Steer Cutter

Which motor (low, med, high) do I need to order for my power unit?
Answer

First, you will need to know the flow gpm of your power unit. Once you know this, refer to the Operator’s Manual for the motor requirements (manual can be found on Related Products Page below).

Answer

Any organic material grass, wood and up to 2” diameter material.

What is the chain at the hitch for?
Answer

This is a check chain. It is designed to hook to the power unit to keep the mower height 18” and under from the ground height.

What is the blade tip speed?
Answer

It varies with the gpm and pressure of the power unit and which one of the three motors that is on the unit. There is a charge located in the specifications page in the Operator’s Manual (manual can be found on Related Products Page below).

How tall is the front of the SC40 cutter off the ground?
Answer

Without the front roller option, the front edge of the deck is 11-1/2" off the ground.  With the front roller option, the front edge of the deck is 12" off the ground.

Does the SC40 skid cutter have the same dishpan and blade system on the SC40 as the SC25 Skid Cutter?

No, The SC40 Skid Cutter have a 5/8 plate with three free swing blades on it.

My skid steer has hydraulic flow of 30 GPM can I run the SBL25 low flow motor?
Answer

No, if you run that snow blower damage can occur to the motor from the wrong flow going through it.

Do I need to run the SBL25 in float?
Answer

Yes, not running in float will cause premature wear on the skid shoes.

What kind of bristles can I get?
Answer

There are three types.  We offer a poly bristles, wire bristles, or poly/wire bristles.

What is the difference in the bristle types?
Answer

The poly bristles are more gentle on the surface.  The wire or steel bristles are for the stubborn caked on areas.

Do the grapple claws stop at the same time?
Answer

No the grapple claws are two cylinder independent.  Which means if one claw stops on an object the other claw will go till it touches an object in the bucket.

No the top jaw requires weldments that are not on the bucket model.

Why are the forks hard to slide?
Answer

You may need to add some grease to the carrying bar to help the fork slide better.

Why are my forks shifting sideways on the carrying bar?
Answer

Your locking pin handle is not engaged in locking groove. Position locking pins over locking grooves on carrying bar and rotate locking handle down to engage locking pin.

You have the options of a steel or poly replaceable cutting edge.

How big of a tree can I get in the jaw?

You can get a 10" maximum tree in the jaw of the STP15 and STP25.

Can I put the STP15 on an SVL75?
Answer

No, the STP15 is rated for 30-65 HP.  Putting it on a bigger machine will damage the frame.

Be sure you are running in float. Not doing so can cause uneven wear on the skid shoes.
